Description
"Civil war has broken out in the former Soviet state of Uzbekistan between the repressive Uzbek government and the Al Queda and Taliban-backed Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. U.S. air power supports the Uzbek military, and journalists from around the world are working behind the battle lines in relentless competition for exclusive stories. Newspaper reporter Ben, still haunted by the vision of his freind and colleague blown up by a land mine, now has to contend with his partner's replacement -- young, ambitious and inexperienced Nora. But when Nora's unprofessional 'snapshot' pictures wind up revealing a story that becomes a front-page scoop, Ben and Nora, with the help of a spy named Rainy, launch a dangerous and intricate search for the truth"--Container.
