Once upon a time, Adrian Monk was a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, but he lost his nerve, his mind, and then his badge. SEASON 1: Monk's hilarious, offbeat antics have made him unfit for duty but he's back as a police consultant to help out on their most baffling cases. The brilliant but neurotic Monk is now fighting crime as well as his abnormal fears of germs, cars, heights, crowds and virtually everything else known to man.

SEASON 2: His extensive dossier of phobias may keep him from working on the police force, but Monk's not about to let that stop him from solving crimes. Accompanied by his loyal (and infinitely patient) assistant Sharona, by-the-book Captain Stottlemeyer and eager-to-please Lieutenant Randall Disher, Monk's unconventional methods may just be what's needed to crack some of San Francisco's most puzzling and unusual cases.

SEASON 3: Rejoin Adrian Monk, the defective detective, who must overcome his obsessive-compulsive disorder and investigate the death of his wife, Trudy. Still hoping to be reinstated in the San Francisco Police Department, Monk continues to use his sharp intelligence, photographic memory and ever-present hand wipes to solve even the dirtiest cases. At his side are Captain Stottlemeyer, Lieutenant Disher, Sharona Fleming and newcomer Natalie Teeger, and together they take on some daunting opponents, including the Mafia, the FBI and a possibly murderous chimpanzee.

SEASON 4: Private detective Adrian Monk has brains, instincts, a photographic memory and more than a few Obsessive Compulsive Disorder's. These traits, his ever-present handy wipes and his devoted assistant, Natalie Teeger, help him as he solves cases involving amnesia, betrayal, first-loves, true loves, and of course, murder.

SEASON 5: Gumshoe Adrian Monk would never actually have gum on his well-polished shoes: in addition to intellect and instinct, he also has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Though his eccentric traits bewilder his colleagues Natalie Teeger, Captain Stottlemeyer and Lieutenant Disher, Monk's attention to detail keeps crime and grime off the streets.

SEASON 6: The brilliant but phobia-laden detective Adrian Monk, never lets his obsessive-compulsive disorder stop him from solving a crime in the most ingenious way imaginable. Dropping the clues this season are a roster of red-hot guest stars.

SEASON 7: Despite his overwhelming fear of germs, crowds, small places and almost everything else, Monk proves once again why he⁰́₉s the only man for the case and why mystery lovers can't deny how amusihg it all still is.
